Principal Eleanor Bechthold (ISTD DDE) has a wealth of knowledge and experience within the dance and entertainment industry. Eleanor started dancing at a young age. She trained predominantly in classical ballet at the McMahon School of Dance and Musical Theatre, and later at SLP College in Leeds, where she gained a Trinity Diploma in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre. Upon graduating, Eleanor went on to work in Theatres and Casino’s throughout Europe and Asia. She has also worked extensively as a dancer/model in hair and bridal shows throughout the UK. 

Eleanor has worked for Princess Cruises as a dancer, and worked her way up the ranks to eventually becoming Company Performance Manger. Eleanor had the privilege of appearing in Seasons 1 & 2 of the ITV documentary “The Cruise” in her role as Company Performance Manager while on board the Regal and Royal Princess. During her career Eleanor has had the privilege of working with some of the world’s leading choreographers such as Danny Teeson, Troy Christian and Stuart Hayes to name a few, and has performed in over 40 major scale production shows.

Eleanor is fully qualified dance teacher with the ISTD and Acrobatic Arts, she is also DBS certified and First Aid trained. 
Opening El Dance Studios was a lifelong ambition and she loves passing on her knowledge, expertise and experiences of working within the entertainment industry to young and aspiring performers. She promises to give the best technical training by teaching correct technique to avoid injury and damage to young children within a fun-filled environment. “It is extremely exciting to pass on my love and passion for dance to younger generations!"
